Course dates: 18-24/2. 2018 

This courses is taught in English, Entry Levels: English CEF A2+ to C1+

This course is aimed at teachers of Physical Education, Sport trainers, Skiing and Swimming instructors, Outdoor Educators and Rest time school staff. The course will provide practical experience with methodology of teaching winter sports: skiing and snowboarding and their various styles. Swimming practical methodology will be practised during the course in the swimming pool. Except practical part the course will have some theoretical presentations and space to discuss questions at the round table.

The Course Content for SKIINA AND SNOWBOARDING COURSES:

  • An overview of the PE teaching methodology with focus on skiing/snowboarding and swimming
  • Modern approaches to the sport teaching/modern teaching strategies
  • Skiing Styles: Cross Country Skiing, Down Hill Skiing, Extreme Skiing
  • Snowboarding: Freestyling, Carving
  • Swimming: Front Crawl, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Eggbeater Kick, Wading Floating
  • Practical guided sport performance
  • Theoretical methodology presentations, round tables

The course lasts 27 hours and will consist of theoretical and practical activities. The methodology will be based on integration of theory and practice as well as sharing expertise and analyzing case studies. The following methods will be applied:

  • plenary
  • discussions in pairs and small groups/panel discussions
  • guided practical sport performance
  • final presentation

Teachers of PE (Pre-school, primary, secondary, vocational, adult, special needs)

Sport trainers, Skiing and Swimming instructors, Outdoor Educators and Rest time school staff.
